Wow, I've just got a 3:17am txt message from Vodafone advising me to renew my credit card details!!! They just woke me up to tell me this. How arrogant is that? Naturally, after waking me in the middle of the night to tell me this, there is no chance they will be having my credit card details again. What planet are these guys on regarding customer relations? I use two networks and 2degrees totally blow them out of the water with all aspects of my customer experience: pricing, call centre service and even the look of their modem stick software. Haha

srob: I don't see why they couldn't send the reminders out during business hours, it is after all a business message. Turning off phones isn't always an option especially with elderly parents etc.

It's not possible to opt out of the addon reminder SMS that a package is going to renew, We are aware that how it works now is not the best, I work on the platform that fires out the SMS and it's not as easy as it sounds, Trust me we wish it was or we would have done it by now

We are working on a solution to make the experience a lot better and to hold back the SMS till the morning it's part of a much bigger project that we are working on now we also have a thread about this on the Vodafone NZ community
