Hi Team,

We have Vodafones SHG1500 modem hooked up to our imac - 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5

We are having issues caused by modem going into a standby mode when left for 10 minutes.
When returning to the computer the connection has dropped (as seen by the mail programme showing inactive status) Within 10 seconds of a keystroke the connection returns. Unfortunately this is affecting our appletv connection. Since the connection drops out it also mucks with the apple tv sharing.
The ideal would be to have the modem set to be connected and ready all the time.
Is there such a setting?

Any help gratefully received.

Steve

Hi Steve, as mentioned it does sound like your modem is either on the blink or something else may be causing the disconnection. Definitely one for tech support I'd say - they will be able to help you isolate the issue and discuss some options with you.

Cheers,
Lon
