Hi Everyone!

Firstly, I just want to say I will also send an email to Vodafone tomorrow but I figured that it won't hurt to ask here first seen as others may have been in similar situations and also for the fact there are Vodafone employees on GeekZone :).

So my situation is, I am an ADSL2+ customer of Vodafone and have been for 2 years now and I'm lucky enough to be on their "Red" network, which means I'm on their own "equipment" therefore a better quality service (theoretically).

When I first changed from my Telecom service to this "red" network I noticed very good results as far as speed tests are concerned. However it's been two years since and I am wondering if the "chorus" equipment has improved in my area. Therefore my question is, what is required to have my connection changed from the "red" network to the conventional equipment and vice versa? Is it a quick setting change from the office or would it be a complete rewiring at the exchange? I wouldn't mind switching for a week to run some tests.

I would just like to see if my lines stats are better on the other equipment, and if my line is possibly even "VDSL" compatible.

Any responses are appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Aidan

' Red network ' means the copper is connected direct to Vodafone hardware in the exchange as the exchange is unbundled and no you just can't turn off the Red network
