Hi guys,

Been having a bit of trouble getting my current Vodafone/Telstra 021 number moved over to a micro sim that a guy at a Vodafone store kindly gave me for free.
I was advised to call 0800 number that came with the card, tell them the code on the card, and they'll do the rest.

I call the number, and I'm told to do it online.

Fine...

I login in to my account... "Sorry, there is a temporary fault which has caused your login to fail. To regain access to My Account please try again after 48 hours or if urgent call us on 777 from your Vodafone mobile or 0800 800 021 to resolve."

That's okay, it's no rush.
I check back after 3 days.

Same message.

I call the 0800 number.
Three departments, and one lunch-break later, I have a lady telling me that after all that I need to physically GO INTO THE STORE to transfer numbers.

Before I manged to say, "I'll go to the competition", the lady says "....and this would be the same if you went with another provider."
- well my co-worker next to me did just that, and she didn't have to leave her desk to do so.

So which is it?

I can't do it online.

Nobody will do it on the phone.

Getting to the store is a real pain for me and I resent having to go out of my way to do so.

Don't they want me to give them money and keep me as a customer?

Basically I'm hoping someone from Vodafone here sees this and can address my problem before I take my money elsewhere.
