I've noticed a strange and frustrating problem when connecting to SSL sites on Vodafones Wellington cable (formerly TelstraClear) network.  I can't seem to connect to any of our (work) network appliances via ssl anymore.  If I switch to tethering my Telecom 4G mobile, suddenly everything works (and the internet seems much, much faster overall).  Things also work right when I use a VPN.

I can ping the IP address of the SSL site just fine, I just can't connect.  I've tried multiple browsers, computers, and even OS's.  No dice.

Everything seemed to work ok, albeit very slowly a few weeks ago.  The problems disappear when I use a VPN so I suspect Vodafone is at fault.

Is anyone else seeing connection issues lately on Vodafones cable network?
