Much to my surprise, when I woke up this morning (in Martinborough) my phone showed 4G! It's never done that here before.

Within half an hour it was back to 3G and hasn't shown 4G since. Anyone know why that might be?

Most likely Vodafone are testing a new 4G site in your area.
