Hi,

I am wanting to get the Vodem to autoamtically connect when I boot up my laptop, but seem unable to do it either the Vodem client, or via the Windows Network Connection dialog. Also wanting it to reconnect if it drops the connection, but the Windows dialling properties "Redial if line dropped" does not stick.

TIA, cheers,

Steve.

The latest version of the VMC Dashboard (usually for the PC Card devices) also supports the Vodem, as long as you install things in the right order. This has the options to launch at login and connect at launch, which should achieve what you're after Available for download http://vodafone.co.nz/mobileconnect/download/download_sw.jsp?item=mobileconnect&subitem=latest

I'd expect the process would be:
- get Vodem working (already done)
- unplug Vodem
- install VMC Dash
- wait for the VMC Dash profile creation to prompt you to install the hardware, then plug in the vodem again - wait for Windows to finish finding the hardware.

Installing the VMC Dashboard will mean that the VMC Lite dash will no longer work, although presumably you can uninstall everything and start fresh.

Regarding reconnecting - not sure on this one, would need to have a dig (I'm in front of a Mac at the moment, so not much use...).
