Can someone that has MYSKY multiroom (two HD decoders) through vodafone confirm you don't need to pay the extra $15 per month for the second decoder?

I know that the multiroom fee is $25 a month which is fine.

I have just spoken to vodafone who put me through to the sky department who said the extra fee for the second HD decoder would be $25 plus $15 each month.

The current deal with vodafone is that the $15 is wiped as long as my phone/broadband is with them.

Does this apply to a second decoder?

The vodafone sky department couldn't tell me which is a bit of a worry????

I wouldn't have thought so.
Vodafone's deal is for A free mySky HDi, or free Sky Sports. 2 MySkys would be 2 x $15.

At least with Multiroom, you do not need to pay for the HD ticket, saving you $10/month so for multiroom with 2 x MySkys on the Voda deal you would be paying $40 extra per month.

Hi there, I'm afraid the deal is only applied to "One MySky Discount". Meaning you only get a discount for one MySky Decoder. If you get Multi-room with a MySky decoder added you won't get a discount.

Although you get a HD-Ticket free for your first decoder IF you get Multi-Room. So you get a discount of $10 for the HD-Ticket. (Which in my opinion should be FREE anyway).

Keep in mind that you will need to personally ring Sky; to get the free HD-Access Ticket.

Hi folks,

I work at VF. I can confirm you will be charged the $15 fee on the second Sky box and it will not be discounted like the first one is.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

I understand that you would have to pay the extra $15 for a second Mysky decoder however when I rang I was put off by them telling me that I would have to pay for the HD ticket on the second unit as well as the multiroom discount only applied to one decoder. Does that sound right?

Yes as I said this discount is only applied to "One MySky/Sky Decoder". So if you get the Free HD-Ticket from getting the Multi-Room then this means you only get "One HD-Ticket" which would be applied to your decoder of choice. If you wish to put another HD-Ticket on your Second Decoder then the $10 Fee would Apply.(In my opinion this should be free)

I thought the HD ticket applied to all your decoders (like the HNP applies to all TiVos)
