I am currently re-lining the lounge and with walls off putting in wiring. I am wanting to move the TelstraClear Coax from one stud to another. It comes up through the floor and the easiest way as the hole through floor is only big enough for cable not connector would be cut old connector off and put a new compression connector on. Don't want to put horizontally through studs as it will be passing an area area with quite a few power wires, at 90degrees, but would like to avoid it.
From reading I see that TelstraClear RG6 is Tri-shield. Looking for tri-shield compression F connectors doesn't turn up much. I can find quad-shield ones. I guess the difference between the connectors is that they are larger to take the wider cable due more shielding.
Can I just use a quad-shield compression connector?
