I was abused by vodafone customer services couple of years ago I left and have avoided them since. However, I have had some faith restored!

I moved in with my partners a couple of months ago and she has always had vodafone internet.
Yesterday, friday before a long weekend. I came home from work to find the internet not working....A long weekend where my partner is away so am free to play games all sunday and monday without the nagging!...Well...that was the plan (wedding commitments today prevented me going with her)

So changed the filter, changed the cable itself, restarted the router... the usual...Then ring vodafone.....UFB has been getting installed down our street over the past week or so, and yesterday they were right outside our house digging away.....by the time I got home at 4 they had all since packed up and gone home.

I spoke to Reade (vodafone), explained the situation, I was rather frustrated by this stage as I new it would be tuesday by the time someone came out to fix things (ruining my weekend plans). I explained about the UFB and he agreed that it was probably them, tho double checked things anyway. He also explained it would probably be Tuesday, but he would try to get it done today, and I made sure he put in the request to chorus that they had been digging outside that day.

I got a call from Andy from chorus today saying he was just about to head to my place....I was stocked! I was at the wedding but had left a key out just in case someone would come round....I got another call from Andy saying it was all done, I asked what the issue was and they had cut though a cable outside our house. I missed 2 calls from the vodafone number (wedding commitments) but got the third which was Reade ringing back to confirm chorus had been out, and he said there was now and active connection coming from our address! I wished him well with his Path of Exile, and he with my Dota2

Reade actually seemed to know what he was talking about, and really seemed to care. Highly commend vodafone on this occasion.

Im not going to right anything to chorus...I appreciate Andy coming out on a Saturday and sorting the issue....But in all fairness it was chorus that cut the cable in the first place causing the issue.

Thanks for taking the time to post this Feedback Kenny, Glad it was all sorted quickly,

Are you by any chance in Takapuna Auckland? They are doing my street as well with UFB

Chorus has nothing to do with UFB in Tauranga.

As far as I heard chorus was doing the roll out, then contracting the work out....which still makes it chorus fault.

However you could be right. I may be remembering wrongly.
