Ok got a text from a place i am applying for a job, went to call the number the text came from, and got the message
"Number is not in service or is Invalid"
So I jumped on vodafones website on their web2txt bit and replied by text (my fingers are too fat for the keypad on my phone) and the text went through fine.

So what gives?

Any ideas

Just cause you get a SMS from a number does not mean that number can accept voice calls

I could easily send you a SMS from 021010101412345 I could even send you a SMS from johnr

So just spoke with Telecom and they have reported that Vodafone users are having problems calling ported free phone numbers, our number was previously with Telstra but now Telecom and no Vodafone users can call it. They just receive the Number is not in service or is Invalid message :-S Has been like this for 3-4 hours.
