Hi Guy's,

We use our Ipad's at work to access our system via a website, recently we were having trouble with that and accessing our VPN.

I read on the Vodafone that the fix was to change the APN to www.vodafone.net.nz this worked well but now I have realised that this doesn't work with LTE (4G) where the APN needs to be Vodafone, is there a fix for this as I need to turn this off and reset the APN to access the programme in question or the VPN.

You have to use the vodafone APN for 4G access, It's not broken so working as designed

2 other APNs work as well that is the iPhone APN and live for MMS / PXT

Hi John,

Not suggesting the 4G doesn't work as it should just that it doesn't work with the VPN.

I can change the APN to www.vodafone.net.nz but this only works when I turn LTE off.

In short

APN: Vodafone = yes LTE but no VPN
APN: www.vodafone.net.nz = no LTE but yes VPN

I would like VPN & LTE to work at the same time!

Hi John,

We are using PPTP I believe.

Here is the screen dump from my ipad with some details removed for security.

Hope this helps.

Is there any update as to if/when Vodafone will allow VPN traffic to pass on 4G ?

Or

Is there a way to have the VPN set up on a different protocol that will allow acess via 4G?
