I have a couple of thse WiFi hotspots that are no longer being used having upgraded them to LTE versions.

But rather than leave them in a drawer gathering dust I was wondering if they could be used on another network, specifically 2D.

I did try putting in a 2D SIM card but that didn't work, most likely because the APN was wrong. But when I went into the web configuration at 192.168.0.1 I could not change the APN settings - some error about your settings could not be changed - see highlighted areas and there was nothing highlighted.

Any ideas if this is possible?

Thanks

Yes - I have used one on Telecom and 2degrees. For 2degrees;

1 put the SIM in the device and turn it on.
2. go to 192.168.0.1 in your web browser
3. put admin in as the password and login
4. click on mobile broadband
5. click on connection
6. make sure APN is internet and number is *99#
7. click save

you should be good to go. if it doesn't connect in a couple of minutes, try switching the device off and on again.

Thanks

I had done most of that but didn't know what number to put in. The *99# looks like the old DUN number you used to use when accessing the Internet over GPRS!

Also when I first tried it I was using Chrome on Android and there no way to change connection type to Custom but when I used IE on Windows, it was fine.
