It has been several hours, I guess no one is fixing it at this time of the day.

Good to hear. My Internet is still down as of now at 7.44am. Posting in 3g.
Because I just ordered an upgtade to my broadband package yesterday and the problem appeared later on the same day, could someone messed something up? I'll phone vodafone later when I get a chance if it's not fixed then.

I am aware of no wide spread issues on the cable network,

Have you not logged a fault with them yet? They may not know that something needs to be looked at if you haven't told them.

Don't know if you are like me but I upgraded from a Lightspeed 60Gb to Ultra-Fast 50 80Gb plan and internet stopped working on Saturday morning. A call to the faults line and it turned out the modem hadn't been re-synced following a move from the "old platform" to the new one. (Whatever that means :) )

A quick sync and it was away and racing. (Which was lucky as I had a horrible feeling that it was because they had upgraded me to the new speed and the old modem couldn't handle it - which would have meant at least a 2-3 week wait due to the modem stock issues at the moment)
