So now that I have VDSL (thanks Voda) I'm thinking i'd like to get my home networking solution revamped a little.

I recently was able to get a great deal on an Asus RT-AC68R (same as the 68U but a retail version) and was hoping to get it bridged with the HG659 so it manages the DHCP side of things.

Having never set up a bridged modem/router combo i'm a little lost.

I understand VDSL is pppoe, is that correct? The HG659 seems to indicate that it's actually a static ip based connection. Is that right? I have a static ip setup with Voda but plan on removing that now that I have a modem/router capable of DDNS...

Then there is the mystical WAN port...

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to:
1. Set up the HG659 to passthrough the internet connection to the router
2. Set up the vodafone connection correctly on the router

It doesn't look like the HG659 supports bridge mode.
