My VFX line does not seem to be terminating calls when the VFX end is hung up today. For example, if I call another number and then hang up before someone answers they other phone keeps ringing as if i didnt hang up until its answered/goes to voicemail or whatever.

Same if I am on a call and I hang up my VFX line the other end just goes silent but no disconnect tone.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi Adam,

I had a look at  7 calls from you today and all appear to have hung up from our end, I see the cancel messages and acknowledge messages so if the calls are still ringing the far then we will need to do some investigation, can you give me the calls you had issues with and we will take a deeper look, is this still happening ? and does it happen on all calls do you know ?, we can not reproduce it here so may be limited to a Wellington Issue

I had this problem a couple of months ago (I'm in Chch), I'd get lots of blank voicemail messages (I was forwarding to a Telecom line / call minder).  It seemed to have fixed itself here.

We believe we have seen an issue, it will require a restart of some equipment to fix, this will happen tonight after hours, we are now investigating the root cause

Is this not the same issue I was and still have???

I concluded that it must of only been affecting calls within my region, and hence the limited exposure.

I found my issue when my partner would call my work number, hung up upon getting voice mail, which would result in a 2min blank message been left... 

I then tried calling people using 3 different telco's, and would hang up, they were left with silence, rather than the normal tone.

This was to do with the interaction between ourselves and Telecom for call handling we identified an issue when a cetain call type would cause a software glitch, where the relaese cause wasn't getting handled correctly
