I'm on a conference call to Sydney

Approx every 10 minutes the call gets disconnected

None of the other attendees experience this

I have noted times 6:19 and then 6:29, plus 1 prior but didnt not the time thinking just internet problem

I'm not losing internet connectivity, as running constant ping to www.google.com, and no failures

Very annoying,

Any suggestions to whats causing

Make note of the number you were calling, your VFX number and PM all these details either to joshp or maverick (both are in WxC's ops team).  I'm sure it's something simple.

Hello camo786 ,

If its dropping exactly every 10mins thats due to the "keep alive" check not being returned. This is to prevent hung call producing extremely high billing charges. To solve this you will to port forward your router with the VFX ports. If you want to PM me your email address i can advise you on the ports required.

I will jump in on this, this is actually very interesting , the symptons point to a call audit issue we see when routers block the audit meassge, however your call does not the meassgae appear to pass correctly then you end hangs up the call, it may actaully be related to the conferencing service you are using, I took a quick look with Josh, we do something a bit strange that we are taking a look at in more details but have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

This only appears to be an issue when on this Aussie Conference Server Number is that correct ?
Does it occur at 10 Minutes every time ?
Does it every work for longer than 10 Minutes ?
This dosn't happen on other calls does it?

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

Hi Maverick

Its only every occured to me on that conference call,

It was pretty close to 10 Minutes, but I wasnt timing exactly

I havent had another conference all to to advise if any different

It maybe something along the lines of the previous post

FYI I have unsual setup (comments suggestion are welcomed)

Cisco 877 ADSL Router
Linksys SPA3120
line from SPA3102 plugged into the FXO port of my Epygi

The rest of the devices on my network are behind the Epygi,

Plans for future - add DVX Line
Get QOS going on my Cisco 877 - this I have just achieved
Move the devices from Behind my Epygi, this will be pain for setting up phones (although local ones could stay connected via the Epygi), but having devices behind the Epygi is painfull for site to site VPN setup. Having 2 devices doing NAT causing some hassles., especially remote users accessing my Exchange Server over site to site VPN

How are you permitting traffic through your 877? If you are using ip inspect instead of access lists then change to using access lists only, i.e. remove all the ip inspect rules and create access lists permitting all traffic both tcp and udp between 58.28.20.150

Also if you want to get away from the dual NAT problem with the Epygi's, you can configure up to 4 (I believe) VLAN's on your 877 - setup one VLAN just for the Epygi WAN port and use another VLAN for everything else.  This way you can use the 877 as your default gateway but the Epygi is still happy that it thinks it is playing router.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Thanks Bender

That works a treat, sorted out VPN problem, now to try a phone from remote site over the VPN

For remote users on the Quadro (I login to the one at work from home) I found I had to explicitly enter the IP of our router at work, entering a hostname for some reason didn't work nicely.  Also don't setup STUN.  Other than everything works okay for me.
