I no longer use my old paradise email address, and would like to have it deleted/closed. I had a quick look on the Vodafone 'help' pages about Paradise email addresses, but all it tells you is how to set up and configure them, not delete/close them.

I can remove my Paradise account from Thunderbird and from my Google account that redirect any emails sent to the paradise address to my gmail address, but that still doesn't close the paradise account.

I dont have to ring the call centre to have it closed do I?

Yes, you do. At least, you used to anyway - there's no way to do it online. Maybe try sending an e-mail? From memory it went to questions@paradise.net.nz

I had a defunct - unused/not used - email account with "paradise". I emailed Vodafone requesting that the address be closed down.
Vodafone did that - in due course, and advised me when it had been done.
So, just send V/F an email then forget it.
