I did not received at least 6 texts yesterday between 8am and 6pm.  I am with Vodafone and the texts were sent from the Teelecom network from three different numbers.  I did receive texts from the Vodafone network during this time.  Does anyone else know if they have had the same issue?

There was a outage yesterday on the gateway that interconnects vodafone and telecoms sms.

It was not a fault on any network telecom or vodafone. Just the gateway in between. It was not 2/3G related.

My partner used to be Telecom and I am Vodafone.  We'd often send messages to each other that would sometimes take hours to send.

Moved her over to Vodafone, haven't had issues since.

Did the messages ever come through? I need to check two GSM sms gateways. Cheers.

In all fairness, it was never consistent.  Sometimes we'd go weeks with no issues, then sitting right next to each other, a txt would take hours to send through.  I'd sometimes receive txt messages late at night that had been sent during the day.

For anything important, I'd suggest staying Vodafone-Vodafone or Telecom-Telecom.

No - I did not get any of the texts.  I have not had a problem since about 6 pm Friday.  After that all has been good.

One person still hasnt received the messages, another got them at 3 am, while another person got one straight away but not hasnt seen the other message. It is difficult to know if the problem exists.  I got a text from an 027 number at 6.24 last night and have not recieved anymore since.  However I am not expecting any and no one has grumbled about sending me a text and me not responding...   yet.....

Moral of the story?  Don't rely on text for anything important?  We have people come in with dead phones and want their text messages out for court cases!  (Der...)
