Hi,

Just wondering if anybody would have any ideas.
At the moment my parents have a 1GB Cable Highspeed plan with TelstraClear.
In the last 2 months they have not gone over 400mb each month because it just basic usage.

But ever since the 22/12/07 the upload on the account has been really high.
They only turn on the modem when they need it.

There is no file sharing software on the computer whatsoever - I did a full spyware scan as well last night using AdAware and Spy Bot.

I just have no other clue as to what it could be.

Overusage on the 1GB plan is pricey too . . $2.95 per 250mb

Run a command prompt and do NETSTAT -A to see if there is any port open.

It could be that they have FTP service running for example with anonymous connections allowed - some people upload files to those FTP servers to distribute without the users knowing. I've seen this before.
