Will the Vodafone R209z work as 3G USB modem when tethered to a desktop? (that doesn't have wireless).

Just moved into a new place and need a stop-gap til I can get VDSL connected.

Yeah I meant actually connected via USB cable as the desktop doesn't have a wireless card.

Just to update, I grabbed one anyway from Harvey Norman as they were on sale today for only $30 including 1GB of data. Suits my purpose perfectly and when I  hooked it up I'm happy to say it works fine as a 3G modem when connected by USB! In fact this post was sent using it!   :-)
