Hi, does anyone know if 900MHz 3G capable data cards are available yet or any eta on when such device will be released? Also, how far away is Vodafone's 900MHz 3G from being launched - I guess same answer as the hardware?

Reason being, I'm keen to drop my Vodem and get a plug in data card. Also, I have a couple of customers who are either looking at getting a Vodafone 3G card or upgrading their old one. Would rather not be stuck with a non 900MHz capable to find they come available a month or so later.

Cheers

Hi there,

the 900MHz network build begins in ernest in April... at the same time we start upgrading the network to HSPA (7.2Mbit/s theoretical download speed. Mmmmmmm). Not sure when it goes live to the public though.

Cheers

Paul

When I read about the E800 http://www.vodafone.co.nz/personal/plans-services/3G-broadband/latest-downloads/3g-broadband.jsp it states it it uses the 900Mhz band.   Can we assume this card will be compatable?

No. The 900MHz is GSM only and 3G/HSDPA at 850,1900 and 2100Mz.
