Hi

So lets say I have a mobile desktop RDP and VNC viewer app for my BlackBerry Curve.  And lets say I want to test it out by RDPing and VNCing into a couple of servers I run at my work.

Let's also say that my company firewall is configured to only allow incoming connections from specific IP addresses because I'm paranoid.

How would I go about finding out the IP address of my Curve?  Or, does my phone go through a proxy that I could use as the IP instead?  OR, am I completely wrong about how my phone works and there is no such thing as an IP for it?

Any info helpful :)

Thanks
G.

Yea, your Blackberry device uses a PIN ( kind of MAC address)to communicate to the Wireless provider.
Also if you are using BES server and the MDS service are configured with your work proxy you should be able to browse your Intranet too.... assuming your BES Admin hasn't locked this using an IT policy!
