I have seen this discussed in this forum but i can't find it using the search function.

If "call forwarding always" is activated to a mobile phone then does the home phone still ring?

If not, then is there another way of making the home and mobile phones ring at the same time?

Finally, which phone number appears on the mobile phone when call forwarding is actiated? The original caller's or your VFX number?

Cheers
Justin

Hi there in answer to your questions

1 No home phone wont ring if you have call forwarding always

2 I dont think you can have it set to have both ring at once.We have a Xnet VFX person in this forum Maverick that may clarify that for
sure whether it can be done or not

3 I used to have my Telecom number forwarded to my VFX permanently and in that situation the callers ID used to show up on the VFX
phone so can only guess that should be the same case for your mobile from your VFX phone.

Hello ajhphd,

If "call forwarding always" is activated to a mobile phone then does the home phone still ring?
No it diverts directly to your cell. Is a play ring reminder option you can check this causes home phone to ring once.

If not, then is there another way of making the home and mobile phones ring at the same time?
Only way to do this would be to use the "call forward no answer" option and turn your VM off. This will result in your home ringing for set amount of rings then diverting to your cell.

Finally, which phone number appears on the mobile phone when call forwarding is actiated? The original caller's or your VFX number?
The true CLIwill be passed in all cases.
