Well I am at uni with a 3 hour break and no assignments so... I thought I would write up my experience with signing up with Xnet Fusion.

I have never been a Xnet customer before, my olds have been with ihug for as long as I can remember, but being a student I was looking for the cheapest thing around which is still decent quality (can't settle for much less) and after reading I thought fusion would be our best bet (the only other thing that I could see was Woosh and no thank, bottom floor in an apartment ha)

Anyways Wednesday of week one I sent in the application via email, at this stage I did not have my router so Friday week one I think it was, Xnet called me asking if I had the details for the router yet.

I responded to their message via email because that was what I was told to do. Tuesday week two I have not heard anything from them so called and said what has happened, they did some searching around and said they have never received my email. So gave them the details again (did not really worry me, just a little delay in the process, it happens)

I get a call on Wednesday I think that my address does not exist on their system, this is where is gets interesting. We worked it out since the address has never had a connection before in it (it has wiring, just never a connection) there is no record on the Telecom database of us.  With me calling Telecom saying that the place I am living actually does exist, but then they saying according to the council we don't... But finally got it into their heads.

So Xnet went ahead with a manual install which was good. No news really, so I guess good news. I randomly call up one day to see how things were going and they said "you should be connected" or something along those lines.  Get home, nothing :( Called up that night and the next day a Telecom guy is out flicking the switch, and from there on in it has been great.

This is not a rant, or a complaint or anything like that, just of my experience, and that they tried and tried to get me connected as quickly as possible and they did a good job (think it was two weeks) with all the problems.

So I would just like to thank (I think it is Sarah) and the whole WxC/Xnet team, good job.  O and the VFX quality and internet at this stage has been great and no further problems.

Speeds are ok, fusion is just like any adsl but without dial tone on copper line into ya house.  Im not fully happy with international speeds but hopefully it  gets better. (youtube buffering etc)  Nothing to complain bout national.

Glad to hear it's all working Andy, it's always nerve racking when the address doesn't exist in the Telecom database with naked DSL, we're so dependent on the address being 100% right for the DSL to go to the right place so I'm really glad it all worked out for you :)
