I am helping with the sorting out of a FibreX network. They are currently using the VF supplied Huawei router but it is being somewhat troublesome. I could not find issue with the router so I feel it's environmental. They want to replace the router but are unsure what unit would work best

They currently have the Gigabit Fibre X, they have 4 Ethernet devices connected and up to 15 WiFi devices connected. What are the options for routers compatible with Fibre X ?

edit; I tried a Nighthawk r outer I had kicking around but could not get the silly thing to connect.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

What problems are you having with Nighthawk? Have you tried the steps in this thread?

15 or more WiFi devices starts to get to a point where plenty of routers will struggle.

The best option is probably to move towards standalone access points with that many devices.

using a wr1043nd v2.1 running gargoyle with a 200/20 connection, will run fullspeed with only port forwarding but slows to 150mbs with QOS running (will try with more simplified rules thou)

very happy with fibre x so far, was on 130/10 (Waikanae beach)

I've got about 25 devices currently active on my R8000 and it seems to be coping ( although it does have 3 radios). Do you think I might be reaching my limit soon? What would be the next step in router?
