Since this morning I have been trying to connect to some NNTP servers but the reader simply can't find them. They are third party, private servers - actually three of them on the microsoft.com domain.

I have just now added news.paradise.net.nz (which is the ISP's own NNTP server) but this is also not connecting at all.

Ayone else experiencing this?

Duh! Should have looked at the "Details" box. It seems Avast was not accepting connections on port 119 for filtering and virus scan. Sorted now.
