I have heard from an associate that Vodafone are no longer offering their Vodafone TV box and only offering the Sky boxes. Can anyone confirm this?

There were people posting on here months ago saying they stopped offering their STB over UFB. It seems it's only available now on cable.

The story I was told is that VF have stopped offering it across the board including Fibre X/HFC and only offering the Sky boxes. If this is correct it is a big change for the better as the T-Boxes were god awful
Nothing different on the Website, still says available for Cable

While they're two different companies that makes no sense. There is no margin reselling Sky as a DVB-S product, but there is in reselling it when you control the entire backend.
A project to replace the T-Box with an upgraded device had been put on hold since the merger was announced. The Sky box is no good as a streaming box and can't be used to replace the T-box.
I got my associate to send a copy of what he had received from VF
"You can bring your current Sky services over to us and keep the billing relatively similar We do not offer Vodafone TV as an option any longer I am sorry."
Just found this on the VF community site. Post made 8/3/2017
"For a situation like this, you would need to setup a new account with us.
Generally the old owner/tenant would contact us to move their services to their new address, or cancel them, and we can setup your account at the address.
Also, we no longer offer Vodafone TV, but we can provide Sky, and add Sport & Movies, and a multiroom decoder.
You can either signup for this online, or give our telesales team a call on 080077730"

In that example the customer is talking about Fibre, which Vodafone have stated they no longer offer VFTV over.
Vodafone TV (incl. SKY channels) still for sale I can confirm or you can bundle SKY. Both require BB account.

So the previous restriction whereby HFC Cable customers had to have the T-Box is now optional and SKY HDi or the new Sky Box can be used instead. Also just to be clear the T-Box is still an option available.
Can confirm Vodafone TV for sale with Fibre X
It turns out that where in the past if you were on the HFC/Fibre X network VF would only provide the T-Box, however now there is a choice. If there is already a Sky dish on the home they will provide the Sky boxes on similar deals as the T-Box. That is good as the Sky boxes are way better than the T-Box.
