Does anyone have a Palm Treo 500V that is successfully accessing the Vodafone Live portal, and if so, can they please advise what settings are in the phone (for the the proxy and also for the GPRS settings).  I have placed multiple calls to Vodafone, been into two shops, and still no further to getting connected!  I can connect to GPRS okay for regular browsing - so it's just the WAP settings/proxy that are the issue.

Cheers

Andrew

Some steps you can take now:

- borrow a friend''s phone you know can browse WAP and insert your SIM card. Two possible results:
a) If it works you know it's the Treo configuration.

b) If it doesn't work contact Vodafone on 777 because there's something wrong on your account

- if it is the Treo configuration then you

You should be able to hard reset the device and have all settings restored to the defaults. If it still fails after this then certainly contact Vodafone 777 for yet another round of CSR who won't know what you are talking about...

Any messages notifying the customers?

Andrew, is this happening just today?

Cheers for the replies - my Treo has never been able to access VF Live.  I believe it is something to do with the proxy settings in the phone, which I can change if I knew what they should be.  Vodafone can't tell me - other than to refer me to their automated settings, or the Palm 0800 number (because Vodafone doesn't 'support' Palm devices in New Zealand).

I will try your suggestions Mauricio, but equally if someone has a working Treo 500V and can take the time to let me know the settings I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

I have used a Palm Treo 500V to access Vodafone Live and it seems to be okay. That said the Treo 500V did seem to have issues getting reliable web access (the settings appeared to keep changing on their own).
