Any good mass email system shouldn't require you to confirm the unsubscription via email. Normally you just click on a link.

Plenty of useless ones. I love having to dig thru headers to figure out what address they have inorder to unsub from them.

But if you no longer have the original email address, you won't receive the mailing list emails, so why care?  Just sign up again from your new address?

Most email systems will also unsubscribe your email address if a message bounces.
