I'm currently with vodafone (Ihug) broadband. Since I live quite far from the exchange I've become used to slow adsl speeds.
Recently I purchased a Linksys A300 adsl modem, mainly for its halfbridge mode and L2TP/IPSEC passthrough support. Plugging it in this morning it wouldnt sync at all. After some tinkering I found the cause to be my electric fan heater. My adsl line speed went up to 1280/160kbps the moment I turned it off. Never expected adsl modem to be quite so senstive to interfence. Running the heater in another room currently without any issue. Maybe adsl wants me to be cold this winter?!
