Hi, just checking, the Ultra Hub (or what ever they call it) will work ok (just for the VOIP service) nat'd behind another router or is it configured such that it will have fail.

Just that I have a situation where a client has for various reasons (mainly lack of UFB at this time and >1km from cabinet) has decided at the last minute to go with FibreX, which is all good from my perspective, but for other reasons we will be using a 3rd party router and I was just checking what the go it re the VOIP service.

I guess the other matter is, has anyone managed to get 3rd party phones working with Voda's VOIP solution.

Cheers Cyril

Hi, ok dont worry worked that out, but one further question that seems hard to gleen from the Voda site, if you sign up to FibreX and include TV in the package, does it come with HFC Tbox TV or the newer IP based Voda TV.

Ha, yep have solved that one, 2Talk dual line feature quickly fixed that. Sadly this is a new sub division that was built 3yrs ago and houses still being built. No fibre was ever layed, all cu services are direct buried, and due to its lower density (read larger nature reserve sized sections) does not qualify for CFH UFB funding, even though UFB is connected at houses at the start of the subdivision, less than 300m away.............grrrrrrrr

In response to the Vodafone TV question, all new TV connections are the IP box. They no longer sell the old "Tbox's", doesn't matter if its Fibre or FibreX.

OK, thanks for that, and is it just standard unicast and something special happening on the Ultra box? or are 3rd party routers out of the question
