Hiya - over the last week or so I have having increasinly slow connection speeds, and today my router (WAG54) has barely been able to connect to the exchange, and if it does usually no higher than 600Kbps! I've tried with an older internal modem and had the same problem. At one stage when it did connect I was getting Line Attenuation of around about 2,900,000,000db! (or maybe it was Noise Margin, I can't remember which is the one thats supposed to be lower!)

Not sure which exchange I connect to, but I am in Herne Bay.

I spoke to Xnet support staff today who said there had been some damage after the storm last week to the exchange and would let me know when it was fixed.

Is anyone else having similar problems - and more importantly does anyone knowwhat sort of time frame the damage is expected to be repaired? 24 hours/few days/week+??

cheers

Also check all you phone cabling, e.g. under house etc (if applicable). If moisture has got in, then that will cause problems.
