Hi guys , I am with Vodafone on vdsl and on VOIP for phone.I am having regular issues with VOIP not working no dial tone , sometimes the phone rings sometimes it doesn't . The WAN will sometimes continue to work sometimes it drops all together. Ring Vodafone they do line checks never any update on the result. The issue fixes it self then starts again. I ring Vodafone and repeat process. I am using a hg659 as a modem I do have a home hub as well I could use but I found the hg a better performer for speed as well as wifi coverage. Should I look at another modem or is it a wiring issue?. I have a specific jack for vdsl that was installed via vodafone. Any suggestions?

Are you using the phone straight into Phone1/2 on the modem or does it go through internal wiring? If so move straight in to the modem. Are you experiencing internet issues? DSL or Fibre?

It's plugged straight into the modem , the VOIP light on the modem will either be switched off or flashing. We have had internet issues since fibre started to get installed. I know different but all the problems started when the streets started getting dug up. I thought markerting ploy to sign people up for fibre:). Interesting there are multiple complaints in the area of fibre being terrible since installed as well. I might switch to home hub for a week and see if any better

Going by your previous thread you've had this problem for 8 months. Do you plan to switch to fibre??? as this should resolve the problems.

EDIT: Unless Voda fix this i wouldn't be paying.

I am hoping to go to Fibre when it's ready , half of the suburb is complete but the people that have installed so far have had issues with speed and connection dropouts. I am hoping the teething issues are all sorted before our street is ready. It is has been prob 8 months on and off it works then stops . My wife is completely over it and wants to go back to copper line but no longer is an option . I'm away alot so don't notice it as much

For your safety never send account numbers to anyone who does not have a company name under their account. I have banned @Elit now to prevent this happening.

If @Elit contact me and confirm credentials I can reinstate it.

You really have to get your WAN stable... VoIP is dependant on your WAN...

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.
