It is my understanding and confirmed by advertising that Sky have upgraded BBC UKTV, BBC Earth, Comedy Central and MTV to HD. I now need to know why these channels are not being broadcast in HD via Vodafone TV and will these channels be upgraded in the near future??

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I've actually been wondering about this myself, watching BBC Earth the other night thinking for HD it should be a bit more crisp

@sansom any news on this?

HD upgrades for these channels are in budget (Harmonic encoder licence costs) and planned for our next financial year... so expect these to be upgraded to HD in April.

That is not good news, add this to the "issues" VTV is having, to be honest dealing directly with Sky and using their hardware is looking more attractive.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Will you be future proofing this so if Sky decide to upgrade more channels to HD then they will be quickly upgraded to HD on Vodafone TV?
