How do I setup a fritzbox on vodafone fibre?

We have Vodafone HG659, which uses iPOE but Fritzbox uses PPPOE

Do I need to get username/password from vodafone

No. Configure Fritz correctly.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Vodafone use DHCP (IPoE). You configure the Fritzbox to use that rather than PPPoE.

I did this using instructions found in this thread I started in 2016 https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumId=40&topicId=196716 scroll down to the instructions by Rich.MS (the legend)

I do have some issues (it does not like my Nest Max Hub) so are currently looking at changing to a mesh setup
