I have recently had my SIM card replaced, and original number ported.

Everything seems to working just fine but I have noticed that when I call someone, all i hear are single "beeps", whereas previously it was the usual "bring, bring".

Is this new, or just new to me?

Only started happening after the SIM swap.

Any Vodafone mobile experts here?

It's a Motorola e7 Power 10 .... I've had it for over a year now.

The SIM swap was required due to Vodafone ditching the old Telstra-Clear set up.

As I say, works perfectly as before except for not hearing the ringing when I call someone.

VoLTE all good and showing

Sounds like it is the ringback tone played by the network whilst it connects you.

If, as you say, the swap was to move from Telstra/Clear to Vodafone....

That is probably the answer. Vodafone beeps whereas Telstra/Clear rang. Not the SIM itself, but what the phone is connecting to.

VF still rings.

This Motorola is ringing with a different tone(this also happens on a Xiaomi Poco F3).

This is on the handset not the network.

Good question.

My current assumptions/thoughts are that we never provisioned VoLTE under TCL.

Thus when you ported to us proper and SIM swapped your handset could actually now connect with VoLTE thus the ringing tone has changed.

I can get a definite confirmation probably on Monday but this is what I am assuming.

If you had a sound clip of the paging sound it would be much easier

Do you mean that VoLTE has a different tone? Could Rickles expect that disabling VoLTE on the phone would restore the "normal" tone?

Yes. However disabling VoLTE is not recommended especially since 3G shutdown is on the way.

I don't mean it as a permanent change, just as a test.
