Yeah I was real gutted. I work on Shortland st (the st, not the tv show) in Auckland city, and I got the text, quick Google search, and I was off to the Britomart transport center. Got there within 3 minutes of the text and was looking around for some sort of clue but never managed to find it. If only I had been into Britomart before I might have had a better idea of where to look than looking around the outside of the Vodfone store there... Oh well, I'm more interested in getting a Bigfoot anyway... I just dont want to have to pay for it :P

I did not get one, and yes it was handed to you. Unless the phone was in a voice activiated box that only opened when you repeated the first clue back to it?

I was close to getting the 2nd Christchurch one but slightly too late. The Rock were handing them out for us and I heard Robert and Jono talking about later in the day.

I so would have had the first Auckland one this morning, had I got my lazy backside out of bed earlier, and not done homework last night lol.

but no, missed it, and the second one just by a margin.

Lame spoke to a mate about this today.

Seems like the clues weren't a very closely guarded secret at vodafone/the rock - a number of people knew them before they were txt out.

About 10 people were waiting at the final Auckland location BEFORE the clue had even been sent out.

Also apparently someone just followed the rock ute as it left vodafone

Poorly executed vodafone!

I don't mean to sound like a sore loser, but if this is the case, then thats pretty poor.

Yeah totally agree. I found the queenstown location 5 mins before the clue was given out (just a random guess it was the pier down in town). Saw the vodafone guy at the end of the pier with the phone sitting on a stool in front of him. Bowled up to him and asked him if I won. But there was a lady there who had been there 20 minutes before me and she was waiting till 4pm to get the phone and leave. So I was close but not close enough. Surely they shouldn't have let it go 30 mins before the actual clue had been sent out!!
