I think you need to look a wee bit harder :-)

We've had a few issues with email here but they seem to be resolved now. Very impressed that Xnet put a message up saying there was a problem. Used to be with Slingshot and they would always deny any problems were happening when it was obvious there were.

The message went up on Tuesday soon after the problem started. These days XNet is very quick to do that, which helps (except when it is ADSL that is down).

The fact of the matter is it shouldn't go down, or at least with the regularity they keep.

True, it does seem to be happening a little too often with xnet, is this about the 3rd or 4th time this year? Especially as I have been away unable to get access anyway, then I get back to find I still can't, and I know I have some urgent e-mails!

Plus its been out since 1048 this morning (according to their site), if this happens again I might have to consider other ISPs

I don't know if I am just unlucky, but have not been able to get access to email since 11am yesterday.

To be honest I am surprised at the length of the outage, if this was xtra, it would have made the news, and there would be people asking for compensation.

No, only the network status was updated today. The status was first "created" yesterday shortly after the issue started at 11am. The latest update states that the issue is still not resolved. To echo ScepticSceptic:
