This usually doesn't come free with the iPhone plan, but you can add it onto your plan at any time. Bestmate is $6 per month for your first bestmate, $4 for your second and $2 for your third, and enables you to Call, Txt & Videocall to a NZ Vodafone Mobile.

Currently the Starter 600 plan on a 12mo contract and the talker / txtr plans on 24mo contracts have this free, but the iPhone does not.

I have a 'Bestmate' loaded onto my account. When I log into 'My Vodafone' it appears but at $0.00 and it displays that message...

Maybe I should have kept quiet, lol

I'd say that that's My Vodafone being a bit silly with you. It could also mean you have no active bestmates, thus having a cost of $0.00 - You will see on your bill on the 2nd page anyway. A bit of a bonus if you have actually got a free bestmate on a iPhone plan :)
