Why is it, that when I top up with another 100 megs, the first addon trys to renew (thankfully it failed due to not enough credit) when there is still plenty of the additional 100 megs left?

This is just dumb. Surely the expiration should change to that of the additional 100 megs, not the initial one. If I had still had credit on the phone it would have charged another $10 for 100 megs that would only be usable between the expiration of the additional top up and the monthly addon renewal.

Oh well. At least there is the ability to get more, not like any other addon... or XT...

I would just add the add-on, then cancel it immediately, a pain to do but at least it did not auto-renew.
