Please can anyone tell me the locations of the Vodafone cellphone towers in the Dunedin area?

Listing them all here would be impossible, and it's not something that Vodafone disclose anyway.

The information is public however and is available on the Radio Spectrum Management website, you can download the PRISM file and see the location of all registered radio sites in NZ.

There are several obviously.

Can I ask why would you want to know the locations of all cellsite anyway?

I am a Vodafone employee, however all comments/opinions expressed are my own. i.e. I do not represent Vodafone.

Plain old curiosity really. I just got a new cellphone and it shows what I think are the names of the towers that it is currently getting the strongest signal from. eg. Dunedin, Forth St, Octagon, Dunedin North, Otago, Otago Harbour, Dunedin CBD. I was interested to see that my phone usually says Otago at home, and occasionally Otago Harbour. this interested me because I live in a Dunedin hill suburb, not at all close to the harbour, and that led me on to wondering where they all are.

Will it ever be John? I seem to recall you telling me last year that cell info display was "on the way" (or something) for 3G.

Locations from the PRISM file, converted to kml locations for google earth can be found here.

For vodafone the files you are looking for are voda900-1800 (which is 2G and 3G extended) and voda2100 (3G only)
