How hot is it? Is it well ventilated?

You'll be amazed at the number of problems that overheating equipment causes!

If it's nice and cool and still rebooting on a regular basis, you should probably go through that soul sapping experience that is calling the TelstraClear Helpdesk.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

TCL did say they're doing maintenance. At least from my digital STB, it has message saying when the maintenance is happening. I think it is part of their DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade. Did you check their network status site?

(Just had a quick look at http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/customer-zone/service-information/ and as usual, nothing shown, but I certainly did get notification on our digital STB messagebox)
