Hi all,
looks like I might be moving apartments tomorrow/day after (short notice!).
I've got an xnet Fusion line, I assume I can't just plug my modem into the phone jack at the new place and have it work.
(It'll be on the same exchange/cabinet, im moving about 20 metres to another apartment building in the complex, so hopefully i'll have the same sync rate, as long as they haven't screwed up the wiring in that building)

I think I just need xnet via Chorus to just came and switch over the dslam on to the new address? (And hopefully not getting me lost in no ports left hell!)

You will need to contact the help desk to get a job logged, you will not be able to just plug your modem into another location as it requires work by Chorus to move the cable pairs to the new location... you won't loose your conection on a cabinet if it's move.

Please phone into the support line asap

It can take a few days to get the connection changed over, you should have called XNet already.

Yeah, supposed to be done by friday 1-7pm.

I had about 24 hours notice and I was too busy packing/moving/working during the day, didn't have time to call them :|

Was there a cost involved?

There are no costs involved for changes of address.
