There is a website I access regularly at home and for the last 3-4 weeks I've been unable to get in to it
www.lesmillstalk.com/forum/

Everytime I try to open it the error message 'this page cannot be displayed'..... always comes up.

I went into another forum that I am a member of and asked if there was a problem with accessing the forum above. People replied that the above forum was working fine....
So at work the next day I tried to open it (while the boss was not looking) and it opened fine...
At home I am on Vodafone Broadband and at work we are on call plus / slingshot?

Someone said it might be the DNS settings and Vodafone can't access them?

I've been able to access this site fine for over a year, but suddenly it won't work?!?!

anyone have any suggestions how I can access www.lesmillstalk.com/forum/ at home with Vodafone?

thanks

http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ might be useful for starters..

Second have you talked to the helpdesk yet? They'll walk you through all the relevent checks (or should).

I can resolve it fine from resolvers at Xtra and ICONZ. You need to tell us what ISP you're on and where you're doing your dns lookups.

From command line run

nslookup www.lesmillstalk.com

and quote the response if you want some useful feedback...

nslookup ships with most windows and linux versions and osx as well...

213.146.187.240 is the IP of the website, it's also the IP of the first DNS server.

If you browse to it you should see a squirrelmail login page, for the record

eg http://213.146.187.240

Looks like it is likely a vodafone/ihug specific fault (fine from elsewhere) ... and yeah, their forum is probably a good place for direct support :)

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.
