My wife and I both have Blackberry Pearl 8110's and after a trip to Australia last week she is now getting "Call Failed" whenever she tries to make a phone call.

- Data seems to be working perfectly (email is coming from the Vodafone BIS server)
- Pulled the battery and reseated the SIM card (several times)
- Called Vodafone and there is no barring on the number
- Have checked that it's on the Vodafone network

Any ideas?

A call Bar on a connection will not cause " call failed "

Might be a corrupt VLR profile PM me some details and I will check first thing tomorrow morning should be a easy fix.

Sorry - forgot that point.

Not receiving calls either. Don't even get voicemail prompt (call just drops).

Tried the SIM card in another phone (trialling a Vodafone 845 for work - quite a nice device).
Anyway, it made and received calls perfectly.

Swapped SIM card back into the Pearl and it WORKED.

Thankyou so much for the offer John - although in this case everything is resolved, it was nice to know that somebody was prepared to help 8-).

PS Any idea why swapping the SIM between devices "fixed" things?
Did it reset a record somewhere (different IMEI/SIM combination)?
