Having trouble with web sites disappearing.  It is random.  Busy browsing a site and suddenly it times out.  Can't go back to previous pages either.  Can happen on any site I'm browsing, local or international.  Can continue browsing other sites (in other tabs) when this happens.  Happens on 2 PCs so probably network related.  Nothing on XNet status page.  Anyone else seeing this?  Is the XNet DNS server overloaded?  Can my modem/router be overloaded?  Using AM300 and WRTP54G.  Can access sites again after a few minutes.

DNS errors with it or something else?

if DNS, see it all the time at mums place. PC's are using the router, router is using whatever is assigned by xnet.

getting real bad recently, and download speeds are not that bad so I dont think its the connection, torrents certainly are a lot better than my slingshot connection.

we will try upgrading it to FS/FS and see if that helps, otherwise moving to vodafone to get the mysky upgrade free.

We have had DNS issues over the past few days. Something went critically wrong (we are still investigating; priority had to go to replacing the gear and restoring service before we could figure out what specifically has happened) with our customer-facing recursive DNS server. It would still serve 90% of the time, and the secondary (58.28.6.2) was available for failover in any other instances.

Over the weekend, we served our authoritative DNS servers (58.28.4.2 and 58.28.6.2) over RADIUS authentications to resolve the issue (anyone rebooting their modems would have had service restored on those). 58.28.5.2 remained operational while we relocated VMs in order to setup some replacement hardware (5.2 is in a different network zone and thus needed to be physically in a different place); it should have become better as more customers switched over to 4.2 and 6.2.

I've just finished replacing it with a more powerful box, and set it aside to have a look at it. This issue should be resolved. We will reset RADIUS to serve 5.2 as the primary recursive server during maintenance hours tonight.

Thanks for the update. On Saturday I saw the network status entry on your web site so knew something was happening about the issue. Lately the only real issue was with this Age of Empires rip-off on-line game my wife plays. Also had issues with www.eurocarparts.com but that is not unusual.
