Are other people with T-Boxes still being charged the ~$2 "digital TV upgrade" fee?  I was kind of assuming that was like a rental for the digital ADB box, and that it would be included as part of the $15 T-Box rental.  Can someone confirm whether everyone is being charged this, or if it is a mistake on my bill?

Thanks

Hello,

The "$2.00 Upgrade fee" is just the way the billing structure has been worked since the implementation of the Digital Decoder from the Analogue.

It still being on your account is a correct billing application.

The T-Box upgrade is just another "$14.95" added onto your account

I know its a mickey mouse way of billing but its how its done as there are still a few customers on Analogue ... Maybe once they switch it off ( Can't say how long that will be ) They may remove that and add it to the total cost to make it easier for customers.

Hope this clears up your question if not P.M me and I can answer any more questions you may have on it

Yes, TelstraClear are migrating customers at the moment as we look to shutdown our Analogue platform by 1st March 2011..  We have a dedicated team calling all customers and letters will be sent to all Analogue households in the next 2 weeks. The following channels will no longer be available on Analogue TV from 15 December 2010

SKY Movies
SKY Movie Greats
MGM
TCM
Rialto
SKY Sport 1
SKY Sport 2
SKY Sport 3
Rugby channel

This means the following channel packages will no longer exist for the analogue service:

SKY Movies Plus
Rialto package
SKY Sport Plus
The Rugby channel package
SKY Sport and Movies Plus

To continue receiving any of these channels plus a whole bunch more, Analogue households need to upgrade to our Digital TV service.  This new service costs an additional $2.00 per month. Analogue second decoders are being removed as part of any T-Box installation.
With the Digital STB, not only will you have access to a much broader range of channels but you’ll also have access to a much improved  programming guide, wide screen capability and 27 pay-per-view movie channels – allowing you to choose your movies and when you want to watch them. There are also a range of channels available to you on Digital Basic that aren’t available on Analogue including, TVNZ 6 and 7, Travel channel, CNBC, TVNZ Heartland and Bloomberg.

Thanks.
