ok, idiot mode on...

Can someone give me the quick abridged version of how I make a prepaid $10/$30 sim talk bb on a huawei e220 with vista?

I have a recollection that I have to put it in a working mobile phone and text something somewhere to make it have a 100mb data pack and then whack the sim back in the vodem and do 'something'.

I also recall there's issues with the connection manager on the vodem, now sure what version I've got, not sure what version I need.  Do I just plug it in and see what happens, or is that a bad plan?

D

I would make sure the E220 has the very latest firmware / software loaded on it first then you will have the SMS function in the dash board and it will behave with Vista

SMS help to 756 and this will have all your answers for what to SMS to purchase addon's

Download the update run both files one at a time (don't have SIM in Vodem) let the software that is on the Vodem install before running the updates. Once updated unplug Vodem remove old installed software thru control panel (vodem lite) restart PC and then plug Vodem back in.

Thanks John
