Big ups to Chorus who finally put a cabinet in 500m from my house today. I was a long way from the exchange and my noise margin was horrible.

My son used to be with worldxchange and he reckons my speed won't last as they will cap it at around 7000Kbps as soon as I reboot my router - they told him "we don't offer an ADSL2 service" so we cap.

I am on the fusion plan, with voip and 75Gb free off peak

Any truth to this?

My new DSL status below...

Modulation Type:
ADSL_2plus (configured as ADSL_2plus)

Provider: Worldxchange

Downstream Rate:
17001 Kbps

Upstream Rate:
940 Kbps

Downstream Noise Margin:
12.1 dB

Upstream Noise Margin:
13.5 dB

Downstream Attenuation:
13.5 dB

Upstream Attenuation:
5.3 dB

Downstream Power:
12.8 dBmV

Upstream Power:
0.0 dBmV

I thought Xnets New Plans were ADSL2 Supported? I may be wrong tho..

It is very unlikely (tho possible) for your line sync to drop. If you are currently getting ADSL2 Speeds you should be fine and keep them.

Fusion has always been as fast as your line can go. It used to be their only plan that was.

It used to be fusion only at ADSL2+. Now all accounts are ADSL2+, not just ADSL1. But I think you have to go to the new slightly higher data rate to get it, not sure of customers before got automatically changed.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Great, all I need now is a better price per gigabyte on the peak plan. All this bandwidth, and so much to see.... Its only 12 days into the month and I have only 5 gigabytes off peak left lol...

Any sign of your "new" plans before Xmas Maverick ?

Cheers Burtz
